Rini Sekartini was born at Jakarta in 1965. She graduated her medical doctor program in 1990 from Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia. She continued her study in Universitas Indonesia, and became a Pediatrician in 1998. She took many training and courses of child growth and development, and her interest in it made her to take further studying, and she became consultant in child growth and development in 2006. In 2008 she finished her doctoral degree. She is now a lecturer staff in the Pediatric Department of Universitas Indonesia, and vice President of Community Affair of Indonesian Pediatric Society. She is also active in publishing papers and articles concerning child’s health in Indonesia and an editor of Sari Pediatri magazine
